TaylorMade has come out with a new line of drivers. The TaylorMade RocketBallz line of clubs is their first series of clubs the company has come out with in some time. I still use the Burner because I was disappointed and confused about the R11 model TaylorMade came out with. The RocketBallz used by average golfers has a larger face with more forgiveness, while the taylormade rocketballz driver has a smaller head and designed for the more accomplished golfer. TaylorMade has incorporated everything they have learned from the past into this new driver. One of the best things I like about the RBZ is the price. Unlike the R11 driver, the RBZ only has two different adjustments that can be made. Another aspect that I like about the RBZ driver is the color. It comes in a white head, similar to the R11 and can easily be aligned on the golf ball during address. The RBZ feels lighter than the other Taylormade driver, which promotes club-head speed.
A TaylorMade Rescue has been in my bag for the past three years and I haven’t found one to replace it during that time. When the chance came to review the latest offering from TaylorMade, I jumped on it. While I’ve admired Mizuno and Titleist in the iron area, I’ve had a TaylorMade driver and Rescue or fairway metal in my bag for many years. The taylormade rescue 2009 offers some improvements that are hard to pass up, especially if you’re like me and have skipped a few generations. The basic build and shape of the TaylorMade Rescue has not changed much in the past few years. The one most promoted and hyped by TaylorMade is that the center of gravity has been lowered by 10 percent over the 2008 model. The other feature of the ’09 TaylorMade Rescue is on the bottom of the club. The TP version of the ’09 TaylorMade offers one more piece of technology. According to TaylorMade, you will get a lot more distance from these irons because of the new technology designed into the clubs. The re-engineered face structure and Toe-Bar design is what makes the golf ball shoot off the face like a rocket. The new design and technology constructed into the RocketBallz irons will definitely provide you more distance. The sweet spot is larger for the taylormade rbz irons and a little smaller for the RocketBallz Max irons, but average golfers will not find it to be a problem. The workability of the irons is also impressive. However, you will be paying for these innovative golf clubs. The feel is comfortable and upon impact you get enough feedback to make adjustments to your swing. Other than the price, there is very little that is bad about these irons. TaylorMade has finally made improvements over the R-series irons every TaylorMade lover will enjoy.
